Checkup

Chess game analysis

Find out which move lost the game

You played, you lost, and the engine gave you a number. Checkup pulls your games straight from your Chess.com account and tells you which move cost you the game, and why, in words you can actually use next time.

What you get

The move that cost you

Not thirty highlighted moves. The two or three that decided the game.

Why it was wrong

A written explanation of what you missed and what the position asked for instead.

Your patterns, not just this game

Across all your games. Where you drop the thread, which phase costs you most, which openings you keep losing.

Your games, one username away

Give Checkup your Chess.com username and it fetches your games itself. No exports, no file uploads, no password.

Coming next

Opening repertoire analysis, so you know the move where you leave theory. Targeted exercises built from your own weak spots. Lichess import alongside Chess.com. None of this exists yet, and this page will say so until it does.

Why you can trust it

Chess AI tools invent moves. Checkup checks every move it mentions against the real position and refuses to show the ones that do not exist. Analysis is reproducible, so the same game gives the same report every time.

Known limits

  • No "Brilliant" badge. Checkup reports what went wrong, it does not hand out compliments.
  • It catches invented moves. It does not yet catch a real move described with the wrong consequence.
  • Lichess import is planned, not built.
